Dive right into the vibe of self-love and real-deal connections with “Do You, Boo!”— a shoutout to all the wonderfully weird and uniquely fabulous souls out there. This mood hack invites you to embrace everything about you that makes you, uniquely YOU.

Embrace Your Uniqueness: The Power of Being You

In a world that often tries to fit us into boxes and conform to societal norms, embracing our true selves and celebrating our individuality can be liberating. The podcast episode "Do You, Boo" is a testament to the beauty of embracing our weirdness and finding our tribe by being authentically us.

Embracing Your Weirdness

We all have something unique about us that sets us apart, and instead of hiding it, we should celebrate it. Whether it's a quirky hobby, a unique fashion sense, or an unconventional interest, our weirdness makes us interesting and special. Embrace your quirks, interests, and passions without fear of judgment.

Finding your Tribe

By embracing our weirdness and being true to ourselves, we attract like-minded individuals who appreciate us for who we are. The mood hack emphasizes the importance of vibing our vibe to find our tribe. When we are authentic to ourselves, we create a space for others to do the same, fostering genuine connections and relationships based on mutual respect and acceptance.

Out of your Comfort Zone

I was invited to play golf one time, and I was like, absolutely freaking not. I'm not going to be some staunch polo-wearing fat cat corporate patriarch out on the golf course. Hard pass, right? I'm a fun rock and roll rebel lady. I'm an artist. Get out of here with your golf clubs. But you guys, I have to tell you, I went to play golf. And it was freaking awesome. And I love golf now. And I don't even care if I'm surrounded by all those corporate fat cat polo-wearing patriarchs aforementioned.

I'll go out there in my Frida Kahlo shirt, and I will bring my jams. And it is so zen. I love it. And I am unashamed that that doesn't fit into the artist's purview that you think of when you think of a zany sort of artist-type person. I don't care. I like golf. It is fun.

Long-lasting Happiness

Have you ever seen those old ladies Who are just so weird, wild, and artistic? I mean, they're wearing all these rainbow colors, tons of crazy jewelry that for sure they made themselves, maybe fuchsia flowers in their hair. I love these ladies. They are iconic to me, all of them. And if you ever notice. You ever notice these women that are just dressed totally cuckoo bananas, like what are you wearing, right?

They're always smiling, aren't they? They are always smiling because they are authentic to themselves. And that's another part of this. The more authentic you are to yourselves, the more you honor all sides of the beautiful dodecahedron that is your soul. You're so completely multifaceted.

Don't feel like you need to fit into a box of somebody else's ideal of what you're supposed to be like. When you follow your own authentic, zany, weird self, you allow other people the room to do that too. It's a trickle/domino effect. And if you don't want to do it for yourself cause you're a little scared, sometimes it helps to do it for other people, right?

I live in a beachside community that is filled to the brim. With Perfect 10 Blondes in Lululemon. And I'm out there in my long brown hair with my tiger pants. I'm wearing a necklace from The NeverEnding Story. I'm wearing a big old pendant from Orin from The NeverEnding Story. And guess what? I'm freaking happy, you know, I don't mind being a little zany and if I was trying to fit myself into this Lululemon box, bless them and they love that and that is their jam, but those people aren't necessarily my tribe and I gotta vibe my vibe so that I can find my tribe and I like weirdos so I dress a little bit like a weirdo.

Check out meetup.com. It's a website that you can go on and find all kinds of esoteric groups from meditation groups. There’s a group I found about girls who like to drink alcohol and read books. I've seen witchcraft ones. I've seen volleyball ones. I joined one one time called the Deep Thinkers. And it was so cool because you just go in this room and it's all these very disparate types of personalities. Still, they're all people who like to, you know, read books and opine on them, and those Conversations were awesome, but I met a bunch of weirdos at those. Again, weird equals cool.

Let's just remember the perfect quote from the unflaggingly. unique, successful, and happy Dr. Seuss. Be yourself because the ones who mind don't matter, and are the ones who matter don't mind. Do you, boo! Vibe your vibe so you can find your tribe.
